Lisboa was born out of an idea to bring an innovative and modern-day twist on traditional Portuguese baking techniques.
Being Portuguese, owner Dan Martins has spent the last 4 years working tirelessly to pay homage to his heritage by bringing the concept to life, this is where he opened his first site in Sheffield City Centre – Peace Gardens.
His passion for food is what originally started as an idea of just selling Natas, (the original Portuguese pastry) to now a fully developed range with all the traditional products you would see in a Portuguese bakery.
Joined by his wife Dami, and Head of Production, Mark, the 3 have continued to experiment with the highest quality ingredients, teaming them up with distinctive flavours to keep their offering exciting and fresh.
In July 2021 the team opened the doors to their second site in Crookes, where they continued to evolve their proposition and also by experimenting further with the design of the store. The space was designed by Dami and allows customers to witness the production of the products within its open plan kitchen.
Like Peace Gardens, it has become a core part of the community for people to meet and enjoy the experience.
